Account Manager KZN - (Electrical Engineer LC) - SMD661
Goals/Mission
Targeting strategic new and existing end-user customers and channel partners, providing solutions to customers, add value to own business, ensuring profitable sales and growing market share in general industry, service existing customers and identify and document projects.
Working Partners/Contacts
Internal - Senior management - Branch & Business Unit, Sales management, Product specialists. External - Senior management - End-users & OEMs, Purchasing managers, Company owners, Distributors, Project Houses and consultants.
Tasks
1) CRM - Identifying, understanding, co-ordinating and responding to the needs and objectives of customers, demonstrating empathy, forming partnerships. As well as developing, maintaining, and enhancing customer relationships. Build new relationships outside our traditional markets
2) Logistics - Utilising the support bases and infrastructure provided by the organisation to strengthen the customer. Ensure the customer is aware of the Process Instrumentation & Automation Systems range and new developments
3) Provide innovative solutions for the customers Process Instrumentation & Automation Systems needs
4) Risk - Evaluating risk factors to determine feasibility of bids/business/sales
5) Tendering - Co-ordinating internal services for tender preparation and submission
6) Strategy - Devising, implementing and reviewing Account strategies together with management
7) Business Development - Pro-actively, exploring all avenues and opportunities to realise more business
8) Reporting - Internal reporting to the Sales Manager, as well as external reporting to the customer.
9) Liaise with the customer and system integrators
10) Budgets - Achieve set budgets as agreed by management
11) Product Knowledge - Improve product knowledge of Process Instrumentation & Automation Systems along with the entire company IA&DT spectrum of products and attend training provided by the company. Promote the company's training with the customer to ensure an adequate technical competence
12) CRM - Maintain and update your industry sector in the CRM database. Ensure all details are up to date. Prepare and submit quotes. Keep accurate records of quotes, customer visits and log all projects on the company's CRM tool.
13) End-User Focus - Maintain an end-user focus
Education
Minimum S4 Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
Knowledge/Languages
* Have a good knowledge of Process Instrumentation, Automation products and drive applications
* General product and industry knowledge
* Have a broad process knowledge
* Self motivated
* Have good negotiation skills
* Have own network across industry
Experience
* A minimum of 4 years in Sales
* Marketing and business development experience will be an advantage
* Experience within the South African market will be advantageous
